As a teenager, I studied portraiture in pastels and oils with Guy Bernardo of San Diego. On moving to San Francisco in 1972, I became captivated by the Victorian homes, which I sketched and painted, selling my work as a street artist. In 1975, my husband and I opened our own gallery in San Francisco and I began depicting Victorian homes from all over the US in various media - pen & ink, watercolors, silkscreens, cross-stitch and ceramics.
